All China needs to do is to wipe out the entire Radar System and the Electric Power Plants in Taiwan which needs about couple hours and then stop. Taiwan will bent the KNEES asking to restore the System in Exchange for political settlement. And China will be very easy on Taiwan. China has said before that Taiwan needs to drop the name R O C ( Republic of China), abandon the national (?) Flag, and drop the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( and change to office of outside affairs ) and that is ALL. Taiwan can go on as usual before this change. China will pour money there to assist the infrastructures . There will be very minimal disturbances.

Richard's assertion of China not being in war in the last 40 years is disappointing because it somehow justifies arbitrary wars based on perceived strength of one country over the other!
What the rest of the world always FAILS to understand AND acknowledge is that China practically manufactures approx 90% of what the world needs & uses right down to the screws holding things together...I can safely say being an ordinary everyday consumer that if I compared prices between american & chinese products, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the latter simply because where do you "think" those goods are actually made & then rebranded as american at 2-3x more expense?? you guessed it AND when purchasing, chinese shipping is either free or way less expensive dependant on the product when buying direct from the chinese manufacturer it also means I don't have to convert to the american $$ so you don't have to be a genius to figure out who MY preferred purchasing power will be

Invading Taiwan would cost China a lot in money, lives & reputation. Doing nothing continues their growth in power relative to America, which has just annoyed all partners, including Taiwan, by deprioritising them to focus on her one true love, Israel.
