Drones and missiles will determine the next war. Did the Iranians and the US soldiers ever met? On top of all that, China has robots, solders are a thing of the past. China can overwhelm any country with their drones, missiles, and robots alone.
All China needs to do is to wipe out the entire Radar System and the Electric Power Plants in Taiwan which needs about couple hours and then stop. Taiwan will bent the KNEES asking to restore the System in Exchange for political settlement. And China will be very easy on Taiwan. China has said before that Taiwan needs to drop the name R O C ( Republic of China), abandon the national (?) Flag, and drop the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( and change to office of outside affairs ) and that is ALL. Taiwan can go on as usual before this change. China will pour money there to assist the infrastructures . There will be very minimal disturbances.
The Western world is populated by individuals who exhibit arrogance and a sense of entitlement, believing they still hold dominion over the global stage. They often engage in reckless behavior, such as declaring gangsterism, while simultaneously overlooking their own decline. It is fortunate that there are still individuals in the West who remain ignorant, allowing China to continue its progress until the harsh realities of their situation become undeniable.
What was the population of the British Isles (as a proportion of the world) when the sun never set in the British Empire? What was the population of the US when at the peak of its power as the undisputed global hegemon?
Do these Western pundits really not understand that productivity and industrial might is not reliant on population? It is reliant on technology and governance.
The West seems to think that by spreading propaganda against their victims with so-called “humiliation” nonsense, they can dodge accountability and permanently divert attention from their global crimes against humanity. For that you can have no better parrot than "kisore humiliation bunny" to spread western wisdom of killing. But in the eyes of the rest of the Global Majority, those centuries were marked by disgraceful, low-life Western barbarism. After committing crimes against them, adding insult to injury by labeling it “humiliation” is just more empty nonsense.

China isn't concerned about a playing a dollar scoreboard. They are more interested in infrastructure, resources, vehicles, energy.
Selling to Japan, USA, eu, is only because they can buy something else in return at a surplus.
That surplus is infrastructure, technology, manufacturing capabilities, autarky. They are turtling up.
They trade cheap goods that has been turned into something useful, whilst keeping high quality goods and materials.
If I buy 10kg worth of copper by trading 1kg worth of copper goods, where does the other 9kg go? The copper goods traded out are temu wires, small gadgets etc.
The copper kept in china is locked into wiring, rail lines, defence infrastructure.
When we buy refined copper from china, they sell 1kg, whilst we send 10kg worth of unrefined ore.
Now let's look at a more foresight aligned global threat, not about our militaries as that is a joke in today's assymetric warfare capacity, humans will die to autonomous robot factories, that's it.
Let's go with something global like nuclear MAD and nuclear winter, or a huge meteor bombardment.
China has hardened infrastructure to have part of her population survive. Netherlands maybe.
The rest of the world is dead.
China's motivation for reunification with Taiwan is historical, it's not about "coveting chips" which didn't exist back then.
Ever since 1949, when KMT retreated to Taiwan after being defeated by Mao's troops in the Chinese Civil War, every mainland Chinese president expressed its ambition to take back Taiwain. It couldln't do it because it was to weak and too poor. It couldn't oppose US force who supported Taiwan as part of its effort to eliminate communism.
Now, with China strong enough to do it, the US became nervous. It's trying to contain its rise in every way it can, openly and covertly. It is increasing its military support to Taiwan, it ramped up its "China threat propaganda" and stir up trouble in the whole region, trying to destabilize it. This way, it can justify the military build up and alliance to uncircle China. Another motive for the US : Taiwan became a powerhouse for advanced chip manufacturing and it is the US itself that covets Taiwan's chip, not China. The US accusation is merely a projection of its own interests!
Here is how the two factions splitted into RPC and ROC :
- End of major fighting on the mainland: 1949.
- By the spring of 1949, communist forces had conquered most of mainland China. Official establishment of the People's Republic of China (PRC): October 1, 1949.
- KMT withdrawal to Taiwan: In late 1949, with Chiang Kai-shek and the KMT govt transferring their administration, armed forces, and approximately 1.5 to 2 million supporters to the island before the end of the year. They continued to claim that their govt was still the legitimate govt of all China. So they kept using the existing state name, “Republic of China,” rather than renaming after the island's name (Taiwan).
In fact, the state called the Republic of China was established on the Chinese mainland in 1912, after the fall of the Qing dynasty. The KMT later became the ruling party of that republic, they kept that name in Taiwan. Its founder, Sun Yat-Sen is revered in both side of the strait. He is buried at the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing.
Moreover, China's obssession for unity goes beyound the unresolved civil war, it is deeply rooted in its culture for millenia.
In tradition Chinese political thought, legitimacy was linked to the idea that there should be one rightful ruler of "All Under Heaven" (the concept of tianxia). The ruler's authority was justified by the Mandate of Heaven, which held that Heaven granted the right to govern a unified realm. A dynasty that lost control, became corrupt, suffered disasters, or faced successful rebellion was often viewed as having lost that mandate.
Periods of division, such as the Three Kingdoms period, the Northern and Southern Dynasties, or the era following the fall of the Han dynasty collapse, were seen as temporary interruptions in an ideal of political unity. Successive dynasties often justified themselves by claiming they had reunified China and restored legitimate rule.
