China should tell US that if they want a 50% stake, they have to give back 50% of stake of one of their popular companies in China (Tesla or Apple). This is only fair, otherwise, no deal. Would US give up 50% stake of Apple? Of course not. So, why should China do the same with TikTok? If the argument is national security, then what make Apple secured in China? Apple comply with Chinese laws and so is TikTok comply with Americans laws. There is no national security concern, don't be fool by the US hypocrites.
