The U.S. has a long history of taking credit for major inventions and technological breakthroughs developed by Asian talent in the tech sector. Many of their work is taken and funneled into U.S. corporations without proper recognition. While some Asian engineers and scientists pursue legal action, others believe it isn’t worth it because the system feels too biased and stacked against them. This issue has been going on for years.
Some things never change: it's like the Transcontinental railroad, where publicity photos on completion showed only Irish workers, and ignored the Chinese workers who built some of the most difficult (dangerous like blasting through mountains in Sierra Nevada mtns.) spans.
The semiconductors industry started in the USA and developed rapidly with talents from all over the world, not only from China/Taiwan alone.
The unfortunate result is the US politicians use this very happy cooperation of the world's scientists to penalize the Chinese people who had contributed much to it's progress.
That's the reason why so many USA companies hiring many Chinese

In the US, most of the Brilliant Scientist are Chinese which build the strong foundation IT and AI for America. Trump drove most of these Chinese Scientists in droves back to their Homeland which make China Great Again. Trump done a great deed for Xi who welcome them back with open arms.
Chinese are diligent, talented workers with good work ethic. Chinese researchers and inventors contribute across all fields are hardly known, because they don't brag and self-glorify.
