China has become what it is today because among other things, American industry threw its healthy productive 'baby' out with its excess capitalist 'bath water', decades ago. As with many young male adolescents, America is too individualistic, unbearably aggressive, hypocritical and thin-skinned. Consequently a relatively young adolescent American warrior state still has pain to endure and a lot to learn. As an American, I'd rather we have a more free market, including total free trade. Have our own government stop over-regulating and over-taxing domestic industries. Then, we simply have goods produced wherever it is most economical to do so. If that's domestic, great. If that's foreign, also great. I'm not interested in any sort of trade war or having all these tensions with any other countries. If they want to restrict trade on their end, that's their business. On the overall, America was in Africa for decades before the China came, but failed to do the right thing; such as providing free/or cheap trainings for both economic and infrastructure developments. On the other hand, China took advantage of America's errors in Africa and provided lots of businesses, trainings, and programs to help Africa develop; and the process is on going.
